Coach Bruce Yennaco

14U Elite | Assistant Coach

Bruce Yennaco brings more than 40 years of coaching experience to the Northeast Elite Athletics program, including 18 years in competitive travel baseball and a deep history of developing players ages 10–18. A standout pitcher and four-year varsity player at Pinkerton Academy, Bruce went on to pitch at New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University), where he continued to refine his understanding of the game at the collegiate level.

Bruce’s coaching résumé includes leading the Derry Legion team from 1992–1994 and contributing to numerous camps and clinics over the years. His philosophy is centered on growth beyond the game—emphasizing character, resilience, and teamwork. "Coaching isn’t just about hitting, pitching, or fielding," Bruce says. "It’s about helping young people grow and mature. Baseball teaches how to deal with failure and come back with a positive attitude."

Bruce believes in creating a consistent, fundamentals-driven environment that allows players to develop at their own pace. He leads by example, always emphasizing a team-first mindset. While he has many cherished memories on the field, his most meaningful experiences have come from coaching his family—his son Jake, his brother Jay, and his nephews Cole and Brody.

Off the field, Bruce enjoys snowmobiling with his brother, family, and friends, and spending time with his wife Laurie, his children Kara (and her husband Ian), and Jake (and his fiancée Rachel). A former waterskiing enthusiast (often without skis), Bruce continues to bring energy, perspective, and heart to every team he coaches.
