Rick Brenner
Director of Operations
Rick Brenner brings over three decades of executive leadership in sports and entertainment to his role as Director of Operations for the NEA Wildcats. With a distinguished career spanning Minor League Baseball and motorsports, Rick has been recognized as Ballpark Digest’s Baseball Executive of the Year and is a two-time Eastern League Executive of the Year.
Over the course of his career, Rick has overseen the operations of multiple Minor League Baseball teams and has run affiliates for several Major League organizations, including the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, and Detroit Tigers. His work in professional baseball has earned him numerous accolades, including the 2008 Minor League Executive of the Year by Baseball America and recognition as one of SportsBusiness Journal’s Forty Under 40.
Rick’s leadership experience includes serving as President and General Manager of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, where he drove significant growth, community outreach, and fan engagement. He also led DSF Sports and Entertainment, managing multiple sports franchises, and later served as President of Michigan International Speedway, where he focused on enhancing fan experiences and operational excellence.
Currently, Rick is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Director of the Sales Institute at Plymouth State University, his alma mater, where he mentors the next generation of sports management professionals.
